Makenna Spruill was released from AtlantiCare’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Roger B. Hansen Center for Childbirth at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus early July 2018. She is the lowest-birth-weight surviving baby for whom the health system has cared since opening its NICU in 1972. Makenna weighed only 13.7 ounces and was 10 ¾ inches long when she was born March 12. She arrived 16 weeks earlier than her July 1 due date. Makenna left the hospital 113 days later, weighing 4 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 16 ¾ inches long. Donations to the AtlantiCare NICU help with clinical enhancements including innovative technologies, education and equipment, as well as patient comfort items to improve outcomes for our most precious of patients.

The Thomas L. Glenn, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament was held on September 11, 2017, at Hidden Creek Golf Course, Egg Harbor Township with more than 220 golfers in the morning and afternoon flights.

The AtlantiCare Young Professional FY2018 initiatives supported the Foundation’s 40th Anniversary Behavioral Health Initiatives. Funds are raised through unique educational and networking experiences for professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s to encourage relationship building, professional development, and community enrichment through philanthropy and volunteerism.
