Commodore’s Comments Commodore, Ian Blackburn Time is sure flying by, at our next meeting we will be approving the slate of candidates for the 2019 election. Please help P/C Pat and encourage any member you think would make a good board member to reach out to the nominating committee. I would like to thank those involved in making Big Smoke, Surf and Turf, Kids Day and the Fourth of July a success. They were certainly a lot of fun and the preparation for these events shined through. I am looking forward to the George Brothers Band, DYC Rendezvous, Commodores Cruise to Lake Erie and the Ancient Mariners Fund Raiser. I would also like to thank the By Law Committee for doing the heavy lifting on the proposed changes and getting them to the board a month earlier than planned.

Rear-Commodore’s Comments

Rear Commodore, Glenn Nixon R/C Glenn Nxon commented that the kid ’ s day was outstanding and thanked member Janet Van De Winkle for making it a huge success. Glenn also noted that the forward planning committee continued their work with another meeting on the Saturday of kids day weekend. He also noted that he was looking forward to some relaxation at NCYC this weekend as this is an open weekend with no events planned. Treasurer Brian Fringer reported that revenues for the month of June were $29,500 and expenditures were $41,400. He reminded everyone that we are a cash based club so both revenues and expenditures are booked when they come in. Brian advised all the directors that they will be receiving their codes so they can track where they stand relative to their budget. He encouraged the directors to keep an eye on their bank accounts and if they need money to e mail him. Motion: Moved by John Sweier and seconded by R/C Glenn Nixon to approve the Financial Report. Motion Carried. Financial Report Treasurer, Brian Fringer
