ENSURING SAFE USE OF THE MIXER
Always make sure the fixed guard is in place before turning on the equipment. Never put your hands or utensils into the mixer when it is running to scrape mixture it can get tangled in the spindle and injury is likely. Table top portable domestic mixers do not have guards but the above rules still apply. Always have long hair tied back to prevent entanglement Never use the machine with loose clothing.
ENSURING ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Our Company will ensure that all portable electrical equipment is formally tested by a qualified electrician on a regular basis. We all have a responsibility to make sure that the equipment looks safe before you use it and not to use if it looks damaged. Check that the outer covering of the cable is not cut or shows signs of burning Check the plug to ensure it is not damaged or that the coloured internal wires are showing where the plug meets the lead. Check that no body has taped a joint in the cable Check the electric socket for damage before you plug it in. It should not be cracked or wobble about in the wall. Remember report any defects to your manager.
