Cleaning the glass washer - Weekly

EXPLAIN TO THE TEAM: It is important that the glass washer should also be cleaned on a weekly basis to remove any build up of debris and bacteria. Follow these simple rules  Ensure machine is switched off and emptied  Remove filters, wash arm, spray nozzles  Wash all of the above in hot soapy manual pot wash detergent  Spray inside machine with detergent and wipe clean. Use a scourer for heavy build up  Remove and wash filters in hot soapy hand wash detergent  Use a bottle brush to clean in areas such as – corners, door lips, top of arm spray, drain hole  Replace all elements  Apply sanitiser and leave for one minute.  Leave door open to air dry Trainer to demonstrate to team how to clean glass washer

 Conclude the training exercise by allowing the trainees to practice cleaning the glass washer  Team to sign cleaning schedule once cleaning has been completed  Manager to check the cleanliness of the glass washer on the daily and weekly checks and record accordingly
