ENSURING ELECTRICAL SAFETY:  Our Company will ensure that all portable electrical equipment is formally tested by a qualified electrician on a regular basis.  We all have a responsibility to make sure that the equipment looks safe before you use it and not to use if it looks damaged.  Check that the outer covering of the cable is not cut or shows signs of burning  Check the plug to ensure it is not damaged or that the coloured internal wires are showing where the plug meets the lead.  Check that no body has taped a joint in the cable  Check the electric socket for damage before you plug it in. It should not be cracked or wobble about in the wall.   Remember report any defects to your manager.
