How to use the Tomato Slicer  For best results use fresh ripe tomatoes  Core the tomato, ensuring the core is completely removed  Whilst holding the top handle with one hand grasp the round pusher handle with the other hand and pull the carrier assembly all the way back  Position the tomato against the tomato pusher with core side down  Whilst holding the bridge with one hand grasp the round pusher handle with the other hand  Push tomato completely through the blades with one quick firm stroke until the pusher head stops.  After the tomato has been sliced remove tomato slices from tomato catcher and start again.

How to clean the Tomato Saber:  Remove the tomato catcher and table stop  DO NOT REMOVE THE PERMA TIGHT BLADE CARTRIDGE FROM UNIT  Spray slicer with hot water to remove any tomato reside  With hot soapy manual pot wash detergent scrub the tomato pusher with a nylon brush  With same brush clean blades from the back side  Rinse unit with clean hot water  Check all food residue has been removed and allow to air dry  Spray the yellow cloth with detergent and clean the body of the machine and table stop  Apply sanitiser and leave the for 1 minute contact time  Wipe body of machine clean paper towel  Ensure all buttons are clean Replacing the Blade Cartridge  Grasp round red handle and pull carrier assembly all the way back  Whilst holding the bridge with one hand firmly grasp the blade cartridge by the finger grip with the other hand  Pull the blade cartridge all the way out, the blade clip will release the cartridge

 Slide in the new blade cartridge with the arrow facing up

 Firmly push the blade cartridge into place until it snaps into the blade clip  Properly discard the old blade cartridge by using the packaging from the new blade cartridge.  Remember report any defects to your manager.

Conclude the training exercise by allowing the trainees to practice cleaning and re- assembling the Tomato Saber
