ENSURING ELECTRICAL SAFETY

 Our Company will ensure that all electrical equipment is formally tested by a qualified electrician on a regular basis.  We all have a responsibility to make sure that the equipment looks safe before you use it and not to use if it looks damaged.  Check that the outer covering of the cable is not cut or shows signs of burning  Check the switch box to ensure it is not damaged or that the colored internal wires are showing where the box meets the lead.  Check that nobody has taped a joint in the cable  Check the electric socket for damage before you plug it in. It should not be cracked or wobble about in the wall.  Remember report any defects to your manager.  Ensure a qualified electrician/engineer carries out any electrical repair
