ENSURING ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Our Company will ensure that all portable electrical equipment is formally tested by a qualified electrician on a regular basis. We all have a responsibility to make sure that the equipment looks safe before you use it and not to use if it looks damaged. Check that the outer covering of the cable is not cut or shows signs of burning Check the plug to ensure it is not damaged or that the coloured internal wires are showing where the plug meets the lead. Check that nobody has taped a joint in the cable Check the electric socket for damage before you plug it in. It should not be cracked or wobble about in the wall. Remember report any defects to your manager.
