1.21

Connecting the blow torch to the cartridge:

1. Check the ‘O’ ring seal at the base of the blow torch head then turn the orange control knob to the off position. 2. Align Indicator tab on the blowlamp collar with the notch on the gas cartridge. 3. Gently push blow torch head onto gas cartridge, keeping cartridge upright. 4. Twist blow torch head 35 degrees to the right. 5. Check to be sure no gas is leaking. 6. If a gas leak is detected (smell of gas) take appliance outside well away from sources of heat or flame. 7. Check for leaks using soapy water. 8. Never check for gas leaks using a naked flame.

Igniting the blow torch

1. To ignite, turn the orange control knob anticlockwise. 2. Push the control knob to click start the piezo ignition. 3. Repeat operation if the unit fails to ignite.

Using the blow torch

• Adjust flame height by turning control knob between high and low position. • User tip: Keeping the tab upwards reduces the risk of flaring during the warm up period of 2 minutes. • Once warm, the blowlamp can be used in any position without flaring. • Be aware of gas flaring which may occur during warm up period up to 2 minutes. • Do not angle the blowlamp more than 15 degrees from vertical until the torch unit is preheated. • Always ensure the cylinder is fully turned when not in use to prevent leaks.

Gas cartridge

1. Use only butane battery A4 gas cartridges for their tested quality, purity and splutter free use.

2. Inspect the gas cartridges for damage or rust before use. 3. Dispose of cartridges with other metal cylinders.

4. Do not incinerate even when empty.
