MASTERS IN NURSING STUDIES (TAUGHT) About the Programme The MSc Nursing Studies aims to build on existing knowledge and skills to enhance professional practice and career opportunities. Students take 60 credits in Year 1 and 30 credits in Year 2. YEAR 1: NU6070 Practice Enhancement (10 credits) NU6005 Research Methods (10 credits) NU 6201 Personal & Professional Portfolio (10 credits). Students can choose a further 30 credits from a range of modules subject to availability. Upon successful completion of Year 1 students may exit the programme with a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing or continue to Year 2 to progress for the degree of Master. YEAR 2: MH6014 Advanced Research Methods for Healthcare Professionals (10 credits) NU 6073 Dissertation (20 credits). Entry Requirements For Year 1 applicants should have a minimum of an honours primary degree in Nursing, Midwifery or equivalent qualification and hold professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be eligible for such registration.
