Freshman MF

USO: First year player will compete for playing time at the midfield position.

PREP/CLUB: Dustin comes to USD from Valley Christian High School where he led the Trojans to a 14-3 record his senior year, scoring 42 goals and earning First Team All-State honors... Helped Valley Christian to the CIF Championship his senior season with 17 goals, gaining First Team All-CIF recognition ... Also lettered in cross country and football , earning Second Team All-State honors as a placekicker.. . Played on the 2004 San Diego Surf club team that finished 2nd in the state.

PERSONAL: Born on May 11 , 1985 in San Diego, CA. .. Also recruited by Northwestern and Grand Canyon... Chose USD for the location.

ADAM MARIANI

Freshman MF

USO: First year player will compete for playing time at the midfield position.

PREP: Attended Jesuit High School where he led his team to a 29-0-1 record and a National Championship his senior season... Scored 20 goals and earned MVP honors that year... Three– year letterwinner, leading Jesuit to the Section Championship each year... Also lettered in rugby all three years, winning the National Championship and earning MVP honors his senior year... Played for the San Juan Predators club team. PERSONAL: Born on February 19, 1986 in Woodland, CA... Also recruited by UC Davis, Notre Dame and Seattle... Chose USD for the great soccer program, location and Mexican food... His father, Marty, wrestled at UC Davis.

Sophomore MF

USO: Comes to USD as a sophomore transfer from Ohio State University... Will compete for playing time as a midfielder.

PREP/CLUB: Led Santa Margarita Catholic High School to the CIF Division I Semifinals his senior and sophomore seasons and to the Quarterfinals his junior season ... Scored six goals and dished out five assists, earning All-CIF Second Team honors his senior year... Played for the 2000 State and Regional Champion and 2001 State Champion Irvine Strikers club team. PERSONAL: Born on August 28, 1985 in Newport Beach, CA. .. Recruited out of high school by Ohio State and Manhattan... Chose USD for its soccer team, location and quality of aca– demics... His older brother, Norman, played on the USD soccer team from 1999 to 2001.
