The training programme, in addition, offered the participants a unique chance to share their experiences across company ranks, divisions and individual teams through examples from practice, including exercising the diversity management tools while seeking solutions. Needless to say, sharing and cooperation are important aspects that can enforce company identity and boost motivation for future engagement and continuing efforts for self-improvement. In summary, the stories shared by the managers from their practices throughout the training series also show the potential of critical incidents as a didactic tool to facilitate diversity and inclusion. Leading the participants through realising their first-hand emotions, interpretations and behaviours toward personal reflection and re-evaluation helps them better understand the mechanism of unconscious biases at a metacognitive and meta-behavioural level and regulate them toward the DEI principles in their future decisions and actions.
