Office Hours— We are open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. As always, if you need assistance during other days and times, please don’t hesitate to call and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Call 846-3148 for information. Transfer Station— The Transfer Station is now open Monday and Thursday morning from 9:00 to 11:00; Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 1:30 to 5:00; and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00. As always, the Transfer Station is closed on Tuesday. 8th was signed and finalized on May 8th. Copies are available on our website and at the Town Office. As it stands right now, if all of the warrant articles are approved at town meeting, the tax rate will increase to approximately 18.00 per thousand dollars of value. The rate is currently 16.50. So that would mean an increase of $375 if the total value of your real estate is $250,000. In addition to the approval of the 2019-2020 budget, we will also be voting on whether or not to adopt a Fireworks Ordinance and whether or not we want to keep the Town owned property known as Sunset Landing as forever wild. Please come to town meeting and participate in the voting!! Sunset Landing – What is “forever wild”? There was a discussion at the May 8th Selectmen’s meeting about the definition of forever wild. There is a definition used by Maine Revenue Town Meeting— The warrant for our Annual Town Meeting to be held Saturday, June

Second half of taxes due March 29, 2019— The second half of your property taxes was due March 29, 2019. Interest accrues daily at 8%. If you have any questions about the balance due, please call 207-846-3148. There are still many overdue taxes and the lien process will begin soon. This adds even more fees and costs to your real estate tax Tie-up Fees at Chandler’s Cove floats — As proposed by the Coastal Waters Commission, the Rules and Regulations have been amended to require annual tie-up fees at the Chandler’s Cove floats.
