Recompense Fund News

The Recompense Fund is pleased to announce that we have been able to grant $46,900 of funds to our nonprofits so far in 2019. In July, we had a wonderful gathering of some of our nonprofits who shared information about their organizations and how the grants would help them. The Recreation Center, Kids’ Place, Commons, Chebeague Methodist Church, Historical Society, MacBeth program, and Chebeague Island School have all benefited

from our funding this year. We also offered an opportunity for the community to take part in a NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Health) conference. We are working now on our 2019 annual report that you will be receiving this fall. Please check out our website to learn more about The Recompense Fund at h ttps://www.recompensefund.com . The Recompense Fund is dedicated exclusively to Chebeague. It is a fund within the Maine Community Foundation, so if you would like to contribute now, please send your gift specifying “The Recompense Fund” to Maine Community Foundation, 245 Main Street, Ellsworth, ME 04605.
