LIN ADAMS, Head Coach 8th Season Lin Adams is in her eighth season at the helm of the USD softbal l program after taking over head coaching duties on August 25 , 1993. Adams led last year 's squad to a 31-28 overa ll record , including tough v ictories over Brigham Young Univers ity (2- 1), Michigan State (4-2), Un ivers ity of Hawaii (5-4) and sweeping, WISL rival , San ta Clara on six occasions. In her seven years guiding the USD softba ll fort unes, Adams has led the Toreros to five seasons of at least 25 wins. She led her 1999 sq uad to a record setting season. The Toreros finished an impress ive 44-21, setting a new USD record for wins and a personal single-season best for Adams . Adams' coaching career spans al l three NCAA

Divisions (l, II,III) . She owns a career record of 296- 279- 1 wi th previous stints at Chico State and UC San Diego. Adams earned 1990 Coach of the Year honors in the Northern Ca li fornia Athletic Conference for Chi co State. She inherited an 8-48 Wildcats team and generated 19 victories the fo ll owi ng season. Adams was also co-head coach at UC San Diego for two years lead ing the Tritons to a 67- 19-1 record , two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and a No. 2 ranking in Division III. The San Anton io, Texas native obtained her bachelor 's ( 1980) and master 's degrees from Chico State. She also holds a doctorate in Educational Administration from the Un iversi ty of Texas .

JENNIFER MILO, Assistant Coach 4th Season Jennifer enters her eighth year with the USD softbal l program, and her fourt h year as a coach. Milo graduated in 1997 from USD as the best player ever to wear a Torero softba ll uniform . Milo played in every inning and started in every game throughout her fo ur year career and was honored by the softbal l team at the end of last season by hav ing her #44 jersey retired. Milo had a career batting average of .354 and led the team in batting in three out of her four years . Milo batted .402 in her senior season and also led the team in hits with 70, RBI 's with 40, doubles with seven and total bases with 81. She was named to the WISL A ll-Tourney team during her senior and sophomore years. For her USD career, Jennifer started and played in 206 games, finishing with 223 hits in 629 at bats (.354 BA), 85 runs and 126 runs batted in .

AMY LOPEZ-WEDGE, Assistant Coach 1st Season Amy Lopez-Wedge enters her third year with the Torero softball program, and first year as an assistant coach. Lopez-Wedge pitched for the Uni vers ity of San Diego her junior and seni or seasons ( 1999 & 2000), after transferr ing to USD from Oklahoma State University. The hurler tallied a stel lar career earned run average of 1.55 and an overal l record of 57-44 in her four-year career. Whi le pitching for Oklahoma State, she led the Cowgirls to a third place fin ish in the 1998 Women's Coll ege World Series. Some of her best pitching performances at USD resu lted in tough losses to the top-ranked UCLA Bruins. In 1999, Lopez-Wedge all owed only six hits and two runs in a 2-1 loss. She took the mound versus the Bruins aga in in her senior year, allowing on ly two hits and one run in the 1-0 heartbreaking loss. Amy was named team MVP in her seni or year while earning tough victo ri es versus Brigham Young University (2-1) and Michigan State (4- 2). Amy recently married Lance Wedge in the fa !
