2000: Earned USD 's Rookie of the Year Award and Hustle Award whil e batti ng .272 in her junior campaign. Recorded 44 hi ts , 2 1 runs, four doubles, two tripl es, seven sto len bases and nine multi-hit games. Had stellar games versus Long Beach State (2 -for-3, I run) , CS Dominguez Hil ls (3-for-4, I RBI) and Concordi a (3-for-4, 2 RBI). Tallied an impress ive .962 fielding percentage while playing second base. Skidmore started in 53 of her 54 games played.

1999: Batted .356 in her sophomore season at Saddleback Junior Coll ege. Named 2nd team All-Conference. Led her team to a runner-up finish in State Championships. Team Co– Captain and All-Tournament player at State Champi onships. 1998: Batted .354 for Saddleback JC as a freshman. Teams' Co-Captain and honored as Ist team Al l-Conference whi le competing in the Orange Empire Conference. Personal: Born November 16, 1979 in Mission Viejo, Cali forn ia, parents are Craig and Mary Skidmore of Lake Forest, California. Chose USO because of its academic standing, beautiful campus, good coaches and religious aspects. She is majoring in Biochemistry at USO. Skidmore was also recruited by Cal State Fullerton, Bradley and Northwestern . Her sister Patty played for USD's Head Coach, Lin Adams at Chi co State. 2000: Ea rned USD's Best Offensive Player, posting a .25 7 batting average and eight mu lti-hit games in her junior season. Led the team in runs (27), wa lks (15) and stol en bases ( I8-of-20) for the Toreros . Pl ayed well versus Southern Utah (2-for-2 , I run ), Concordia (2 -for- 3, Irun , I RBI) and Saint Mary's (3 -fo r-4, I run). Tallied a .945 fielding percentage in the outfi eld. At SDSU: Cristina attended San Di ego State University before becoming a USO Torero.

Prep: Attended USDHS and led the Dons to two C IF tit les. In her senior year, Byrne was named defensive player of the year and placed on the San Diego Un ion-Tribune Al l-Academic team for a second co1-1sec uti ve year.
