Risk of Neurocognitive impairment after RT

• The risk in patients treated for glioma is mainly related to large volume (no WB better) (1) • The risk of dementia in long survivors after WBRT in patients treated for brain metastases is strongly related to fractionation (<3Gy better) • Rate of Neurocog sequelae is lower than 3% for partial brain irradiation, while respecting dose constraints • Experiences on normal NSCs department avoidance also with larger treatment volumes are promising (3)
