EAST + WEST / BAYSIDE Immerse yourself in Greater Portland’s craft brewing

and distilling scene—along with innovative artist studios—in East Bayside. Then hop Franklin St. to indulge in food and drink

from Bayside Bowl’s rooftop perch. Surrounded by restaurants, pubs, and night clubs, the industrial Bayside neighborhoods’ evolution is rapidly doubling what is considered the city’s downtown. CONGRESS STREET / WEST END A diverse selection of ethnic cuisine, chic cafes, boutique hotels, jazz clubs, speakeasies, and unique shops are all filling vacant storefronts along this up-and-coming corridor. Bookended by Longfellow Square’s Arts District and the historic West End, the welcoming neighborhood has an eclectic vibe of its own. WASHINGTON AVENUE / EAST END This busy thoroughfare between the Bayside and Munjoy Hill neighborhoods has filled with an ever-growing array of restaurants, breweries, distilleries, studios, and local purveyors. Once desolate, this stretch of the city has transformed into a ‘gotta-go’ for visitors and locals alike. FOREST AVENUE / WOODFORDS CORNER Off-penisula and away from the city center, this neighborhood’s epicenter, with its plethora of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and art offerings, is a more low key yet vibrant alternative to Portland’s downtown. INDUSTRIAL DRIVE / RIVERSIDE

Long known as a brewery incubator, this area ‘on the other side of the city’ is attracting food trucks, as well as indoor and outdoor activities (golf, laser tag, trampoline parks, bowling) that make exploring here even more fun. RIVERWALK / WESTBROOK Overlooking the dramatic Saccarappa Falls, Westbrook’s River Walk traces the Presumpscot River’s meandering banks from the tranquil waters to the newest hotspots popping up around town. Spend an evening at Rock Row’s expanding complex or 33 Elmwood’s open bowling/dining experience to sample the flavor of the new Westbrook. DOWNTOWN / GORHAM With the imposing Grand Central Wine Bar and Junction Bowl adjoining Sebago Brewing’s old depot location, it is clear Gorham is coming into its own. Upscale restaurants and venues are taking this picturesque college town to new levels.
