DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING POLICY – STATE SUPPLEMENT FOR CONNECTICUT

This Policy Supplement applies only to those Associates working in the state of Connecticut, excluding DOT- Drivers . Where state law requires greater or separate requirements than outlined in the Company’s Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy, this Supplement will be followed in accordance with Connecticut drug and alcohol testing law and regulations. Advance Written Notice: At the time of application each Conditional Offer will be informed in writing of the Company’s intent to require a drug test. Testing Limitations: Testing may only occur when there are reasonable grounds that the Associate is under the influence of a drug or alcohol which adversely affects or could adversely affect job performance. ( NOTE: an accident by itself is not considered “reasonable suspicion.”) Post-Test Procedures: The Company will provide all current Associates (not Conditional Offers ) with notice of test results and their rights to rebut or explain and their right to independently analyze the sample. The Company will provide the Associate (not Conditional Offers ) with the opportunity, at Associate’s expense , to independently analyze the “split” sample. The Associate must advise the Company of this choice. The Associate will be reimbursed for the cost of the split analysis if it is reported, “not found.” Access to Records: All test related records (including test result) will be made available for copying to Conditional Offer and Associate upon request.

Medical Marijuana Be advised that even though the medical use of marijuana has been authorized in this state, employers have not been required to accommodate its use in the workplace. The Company will abide by all related state laws.

All Connecticut Associates must be given a copy of the Company’s Drug & Alcohol Testing policy along with this State Supplement and sign the Drug & Alcohol Testing Consent Form.
