COLLABORATION MELA LEADERSHIP

The MSVCC eLearning Association (MELA) maintains three officers consisting of a President, President-Elect, and a Secretary. Officers are elected by the Association in May and begin serving their term on August 1st. The following individuals served as MSVCC Officers for FY2018: President: Dr. Kim Harris, Northeast Mississippi Community College (right) President-Elect : Mrs. Kimberly Ellis, Pearl River Community College (center) Secretary: Dr. Christa Wilhite, East Central Community College (left)

Since the committees are focused on the quality, success, support, and growth of the consortium as a whole, they are able to develop policies, practices, and procedures that promote effective collaboration and a cohesive model for the students who participate in the MSVCC. 1 2 3 4

MSVCC P&P: Developed and approved by the MSVCC, the P&P manual ensures consistent delivery of MSVCC courses and services and outlines minimum MSVCC operating standards.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT: All colleges participating in the MSVCC agree to basic MSVCC guidelines as set forth in the MSVCC P&P manual & sign a MOA with the MCCB that outlines the primary responsibilities of the MCCB and the college.

PROCTORED EXAMINATIONS: MSVCC courses require proctored exams to ensure compliance with SACSCOC standards which requires that institutions demonstrate that a student who is registered in a distance education course is the same student who participates in and completes the course.

CALENDAR: Developed to allow

adequate time for review and approval, the MSVCC calendar establishes common statewide dates for each term offered.
