both the flying altitude (in MSL) and the length of each side of the square. For example, Alt above target of 2000 means the leg length is also 2000 ft. Important! No attempt is made to calculate a safe altitude for all points around the square as the MSL is calculated strictly as the elevation of the target plus the desired AGL. Pilots should be extremely cautious to remain at a safe AGL at all points during the flight, especially in places of varied elevation or obstacles. An initial safety pass over the area is strongly suggested.
