FlyQ Pilot's Guide

To fields). Tap the Edit button to provide a better name, add a comment, or change the From or To values.

Tap the Play button (blue triangle) to put the track on the main map and begin playing it back. Once play starts, tap the Pause button (double-bar icon) to stop playback. Pause is not shown in the screenshot above because it only appears when the track is playing. You can speed up the playback or jump to any point along the flight using the simulator controls in the GPS area of the app (see next section). Tap the graphical image of the flight to put that track on the map but not play it. Note: The graphical image of the flight is shown as a placeholder graphic rather than your actual track until FlyQ connects to the Internet as the image is generated by our servers. The Action button (box with an arrow) has options to Delete the flight, Share GPX (GPX is a file exchange format used by Cloud Ahoy, Google Earth, and many other systems), and Share Image (demonstrated below) which sends a graphical representation of your flight via email or text message, to the printer, or to social media systems such as Facebook and Twitter.

Important! The Share GPX feature can be used to email the track from student pilot to flight instructor or send the flight to your friends. The receiver need only open the email on their iPhone or iPad (with FlyQ EFB installed), double-tap the GPX attachment, and FlyQ will load the track into the Flight Recording area where it can be viewed or played.
