Potassium Cyanide is a licensed chemical, use is restricted and labs are not getting KCN. Use and Disposal is binding to law and hence the use is completely stopped. Chemical which can replace KCN is required.
1. Use of potassium cyanide should be avoided. 2. Modification is required for the process of heating of sample in a
100 ml volumetric flask in oven at 105 OC for 1 hr. 3. Injection of 2 ml sample on HPLC is little difficult.
