With an economy expected to grow ve-fold in the next 20 years, India is an ideal platform for wire and cable companies wanting to be involved in one of the most absorbing cultures in the world. Wire and Cable India is being held in Mumbai in October and will be lauding the automotive, telecommunications and construction industries. In the past few years these industries have contributed to an annual growth of around 25 per cent in the country. The three-day exhibition, at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre from 28 th to 30 th October, will see native and foreign companies highlighting the best in technological advances in the industry. The automobile industry is currently the seventh largest in the world, with an estimated turnover of around US$73 billion which is expected to rise to US$145 billion by 2016. The third largest telecommunications industry in the world – and the fastest growing – is being
