HFSAB Stand: 1D01

➣➢➣ HFSAB is a specialist in lead extrusion equipment and know-how for trouble free lead sheathing of cables, providing a perfect moisture barrier. The latest design lead extruder from HFSAB is horizontal, oor standing, easy to install and maintain, fully automatic, and reliable with its state-of-the-art control system, enabling continuous operation for weeks with little or no variation in temperatures and wall thickness/concentricity. The lead wall thickness can be kept to a minimum with corresponding savings in lead. H Folke Sandelin AB (HFSAB) from Motala, Sweden, will be co-exhibiting with Nieho of India Pvt Ltd (Nieho Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co KG of Germany). HFSAB specialises in lead extrusion and cable stripping equipment and has developed the next generation CRRS (Cable Repair and Recovery System) using the latest innovative solution to remove thicker layers of material than previously possible. 40 per cent more triple layer XLPE insulation (by volume) over the previous design can be removed with voltages up to 220kV and up to 25mm radial thickness. The cable diameter range for the machine is 30 to 180mm. The CRRS is also used for the removal of outer sheathing materials such as HDPE with or without a bonded thin aluminium metallic sheath, PE, PVC or lead. The machine is used to remove these individual layers without causing any damage to the subsequent layer below, enabling the outer jacket, lead sheath or triple layer XLPE to be re-applied and the cable repaired. Even if the cable is just going to be scrapped, the metal price di erences for insulated or un-insulated cables are very high and the CRRS would have a very short pay-back period, if the metals are scrapped in their “bright” form.
