IEEE is a nation-wide organization built around professional as well as student sections of the electrical engineering field. The club not only provides University of San Diego engineering students with information about the latest technological developments, but also helps as– piring engineers to experience the creative endeavors of the professionals in the field. "Engineers turn ideas into reality, that is whay we continuously shape our personal development into one that is positive and diversifies in all aspects of our personal, social, and educational life."

SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENGINEERS

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is national educational service organization comprised of men and women who support the advancement of women in engineering. Founded in 1954, SWE encourages women engineers to attain high levels of education and profes– sional achievement by providing scholarships to engineer– ing students and presenting awards to professional engi– neers . SWE holds national conferences that adresses issues on career guidance, internship, and leadership. It also cosponsors recn:"3.tional design contests such as the annual "USD Walk On Water Contest". It organizes the annual "Evening with Industry" which provides campus recruiting for students in engineering and other technical fields.
