PSYCHED TO KILL. "A STEPPING STONE TO FURTHER SUCCESS" USD women's volleyball finished 24 and 6 onthe year. The Torero's established school records for these victories, in addition to making its first NCAA post season appearance. In all, USD either broke or tied ten endividual and team school records. This was mainly because of the girl's who made up the team roster. The first recruiting class has left the program having established numerous records. Senior Nikki Wallace will leave USD with the honor of being the all-time leader inkills, attack attempts, block solos, block assists, and total blocks, not to mention she holds six West Coast Conference blocking records as well. These tall, but graceful women defeated four regionally ranked teams: UC Irvine, Cal State Sacramento, Cal Poly SLO and Loyola Marymount. coach Sue Snyder was very pleased with the season. 'This was a season of firsdts for us. Obviously it marked our first trip to the NCAA Tournament and capped a very successful year. the players worked hard and were rewarded for their efforts. This is a stepping stone for future years."
