2020 School Resource Officer/D.A.R.E. Officer Conference Monday – Wednesday, June 29 – July 1, 2020 Kalahari Resort & Conference Center- Sandusky, Ohio

Target Audience : School Resource and D.A.R.E. Officers, School Administrators, School Counselors and Psychologists, School Based Policing Supervisors, Juvenile Probation Officers & Detectives.

Dynamic instructors will present educational sessions including: School Law Update (Professor Bernard James), Drug Awareness Update/Ohio Trends & Emerging Threats , Will You Be Ready (Lt. Brian Murphy), Recovering From Teen Suicide, and Profiling Teen Killers, School Shooters, Mass Murderers and Serial Killers (New). These topics will be of interest to all school-based law enforcement officers and school administrators as well.

In addition and for certified D.A.R.E. Officers there will be an update on myPlaybook: Core High School Curriculum and two enhancement lessons: Vaping and More Than Sad .

OSROA is proud to offer a “bundle” registration fee (which lessens administrative paperwork for your department) that includes overnight accommodations (if selected), meals/breaks, conference materials, OSROA Membership dues, and door prizes. Up to four water park passes per overnight room will be included with key packet at check in. Bring the family! There is plenty to do at Kalahari Resort and around Sandusky (Cedar Point!) to keep your family entertained while you attend the education sessions and for you during your free time with the family.

No lodging/ Meals Only : $325 Includes items listed below but does not include overnight stay. Single Occupancy: $600 Double Occupancy: $505 * two registrants each paying $505. Must register at the same time; use two forms.

Guest & Child Registration Packages Family/guest can stay in your overnight room- with Single Occupancy Registration Only

There are two options for meals for guests: 1) Your family/guests pay for and eat their meals on their own. There is no cost for this option. 2) Pay the meal package price for family/guests ($182 for adults and $122 for children four to 12) to eat with the conference group. Includes meals only, not break refreshments. Please indicate on the registration form which option you choose. Option 2 family/guest meal package price must be paid by June 12, 2020.

Please note: -Registrations must be received by May 22, 2020 to avoid a $25 late fee.

-No registrations accepted after June 15. Meal counts and details are finalized between OSROA and Kalahari on June 15 and cannot be changed . -Cancellations must be received no later than June 15, 2020 . OSROA is financially committed to Kalahari for all rooms on this date and no refunds will be issued.
