Sometimes a ll you need, he says, is an exciting idea and the right people to imple- ment it. Of ten, the simplest things work best. Rowing boats have been available for use on Lake Trübsee since 2010. The boats have

Peter Rein le of the Titlisbahnen is cer tain ly a fan: “The Panorama Trail is one of my absolute favour- ite wa lks!” he enthuses. He recommends hiking the path when the va lley below becoming increasingly popu lar. When it is hot down in the lowlands, people are drawn to the f resh air of the mountains. Visitors of a ll kinds come to the Titlis area, but in the past few years the biggest growth has been in people travelling a lone. Families like to come here on day trips. Young people a lso seem to have rediscovered the delights of wa lking in beautif u l natura l landscapes. It is impor tant for the Titlisbahnen to at trac t a good mi x of v isitors to Trübsee. “We want it to appea l to people of a ll ages,” says Peter. The cableway company has ensured there is something for ever yone at Trüb- see. Nature lovers can take idyllic wa lks; families with children of any age can enjoy the playground and other at trac tions; hik- ers can f inish the day with a cool beer on the terrace of Trübsee A lpine Lodge, enjoy- ing beautif u l v iews over the lake. They can choose how much to pay based on what they thought it was wor th. “Lots of people think that ’s a nice idea,” says Peter. “It cer tain ly appea ls to me.” Visitors a lso spend a good dea l of time at the Trübsee A lpine Lodge. It has a large summer terrace where guests can unwind – while the kids tr y out the two bouncy cas- tles. One is in the form of the Rotair cable car, the other is shaped like an A lpine hut. A slack line is a lso permanently set up on the terrace, and there is a summer curling sheet. Ever y two weeks the terrace hosts an a ll-you-can-eat break fast barbecue buf fet. But the Trübsee isn’ t just f un and games, it is a lso a wonder f u l place to con- template nature. It is the star ting point for many hiking tours in the Titlis area. From here, you can wa lk to the bot tom of the Joch Pass, or take the easy way up by riding the
