The author created the interior of two main components: the wooden framework was built in the concrete casing of the apartment, which organized the space and made it suitable for living. The concrete component is a fixed unit pur- chased by the customer and limited by walls and ceiling. The wooden one is a temporal and replaceable unit, which fills the apartment with the things (partitions, doors, furniture) necessary for living and comfort. Besides, some parts of the wooden construction are mobile and able to transform the space. The most specific object of this construction is located on the line between the guest area and the private one. This object is not only multifunctional but also en- dowed with mythologeme – it is interpreted as a defensive wall reinforced by inclined buttresses on one side and rep- resented as sliding gates on the other. “Butresses” are the bookshelves, and “gates” are the mobile partition made of a massive board. This board consists of two parts and functions in unusual manner – when opened, the gates block access to the private area and, on the contrary, when closed, the gates offer two possible ways to pass through.
