HOUSE ON A FOREST HILLSIDE

24

Natural light penetrating into the house is another thoughfully developed motive. Day light, which is radiat- ed from the saw-tooth skylight, passes through the vertical “well” in the hall and drops down on the ground floor. The shadowed “bridge” takes us to the private area. It does not adjoin the walls and enables the saw-tooth sky- light to shine down upon the ground floor without obstruction, where light radiated from the bay window at- tracts us to the guest area. The outside glass bay window is designed for reflection and self-immersion. It com- pletes the luminous line beginning from the saw-tooth skylight. Thus, the light shows the way over the house.
