Classical dacha villages located near Moscow with their old country cottages are gradually losing their charm. In- stead of verandas with colorful glass and absurd turrets, new buildings made of bricks spring up with increasing fre- quency. That is why, when an empty box – attempt to make such a new building – had fallen into the hands of Aleksey Rozenberg, he did his best to re-establish justice. The architect made the new brick house look like one of the region- al country cottages, which are passing away – the houses which originated from wooden cottages of the Silver age and then turned into panelized houses of the Soviet era. There is something of the theatrical scenery art in such ap- proach, but the author is not afraid of deliberateness, especially since the interior stays brutal – the Rosenberg’s identi- ty. The house attracts by detailed development – “touch of hands”. Each of four facades is unique and has its own com- position and spirit; the first one is open, the second one is severe, and the third one looks like a country shed. Author’s furniture and interior accessories are made of boards taken from an old fence which have been surrounding the area for 50 years. Metal constructions are decorated with brass items purchased in jumble markets from Delft to Tbilisi.
