The apartment decorated with wood resembels the image of buildings that used to fill those lanes – two- or three-sto- rey wooden houses. Besides, the board finish has completely solved the problem of the building’s quality which was built about 70 years ago. The main interior finding is that the partition walls are made of window frames, and the bal- cony doors are used instead of standard ones. Moreover, a bay window has been built over the podium in the bed- room. It faces the living room and has additional windows on three walls, which makes it similar to the inner yard. Due to the transparency of the partition wall, the apartment is perceived as integral multilayer space. At the same time, the rooms and kitchen can be absolutely isolated because the windows have blinds, and the problem of sound insula- tion is solved by double-glass units. Two openings connect the kitchen with the living room and create the invariance of movement in the guest area.
