F ive tips for you as successors Being in a leadership role in the most challenging schooling year of your life can be very difficult. We have culminated some small, but we hope, useful tips:

• Stay organised. Use a calendar and diary. Make a small start on things straight away.

• Utilise your team mates, share the load. Sometimes it’s too much for one person alone, delegate and get some help.

• Get to know your teachers and Head of House. They are here to support you and are truly incredible people if you are willing to let them in. • Be open minded. Get involved from the sporting field to chess to house debating to choirs. You don’t have to be in everything but to support those that are representing your house is a truly fulfilling experience.

• Be assertive but understanding.
