The First week of School – what can you do to help? In your first week of school, it only takes a few simple things to set up your year. • Set up a relationship with your Head of House and organise if you will have meetings and how often. (Exchange Numbers) • Get to know your senior team – this is probably the one we stress the most. They will be your biggest ally and help throughout the year. • Know your other PC’s and PC Tutors. • A small Veivers house matters allocated book. Helps with speeches, lists and keeping things organised. Leadership in PC PC is a very valuable time to set up relationships with students from other year levels. It has allowed us to broaden our horizons from our busy yet often separated Year 12 cohort. Utilise your time being around the young buzzing minds in your PC. As a leader of your house, make sure to spend time to get to know where the other PC’s are and get to know people in them. Make new friends and socialise. It is so love- ly when someone you spoke to about some house matter, smiles and knows your name as you pass them next time. PC is an awesome time to take a breath and recharge. Year 7 Camp The day the Student Leadership Team visits the Year 7 Camp is unreal. We had so much fun this year meeting all the new students in our house and latest additions to the high school Veivers team! We especially loved the Senior Choreographed dance that we perform to the Year 7’s at the end of the night. We all worked together and totally embarrassed ourselves in the process but it made all the difference getting involved and giving it our all. House Play Festival The House plays are an awesome way to show your support even if theatre is not your thing. Going and visiting rehearsals, asking if the directors need anything is a great way to show your support. The culmination on the performing nights would make any house captain proud, if they were involved or not.
