Veivers House Captains book 2019

Inter-House Carnivals Perceived as the only event you have to organise (this is not true!), However these certainly are a big aspect of work. You will work with your senior team to make sure every member of the house has a role to fulfil on the day of the carnival. Convincing students that have no desire to run 3k or jump in a pool is a challenge, but with the right approach and attitude can be swiftly resolved. We found this is when you must assert yourself but also be understanding. And if you are faced with a difficult situation, this is the time to ask for help to make an informed decision. On the big days, making sure every lane or position if filled is stressful, but with the help from your senior team and Mr Walker’s trusty clip boards it should be a breeze. Service Learning – House Charity The milkshake stall. If you haven’t been involved with this yet, you should because it is so much fun. Veivers House supports the Guide Dogs Queensland Association. This stall, always producing the best $4 choc, vanilla, caramel and strawberry milkshakes money can buy, creates another perfect opportunity to meet people from outside your regular sphere. You will meet people who love milkshakes, people that just need their community and service hours and people who just want to help. But for their reasons, they are there and that must be acknowledged and appreciated.
