T HE PORT OF AALBORG-NORRESUNDBY, situated on the Liim Fiord in the north of Jutland, is, next to Copenhagen, the most important in Denmark. It is the centre of the principal Danish industries viz: Cement (large exports), Manure, Tobacco, Spirit etc. The depth of water at the entrance to the fiord is 24V2 feet at daily high- water and in the fiord itself from 30 to ‘ 50 feet. The fairway up to Aalborg is adequately provided with leading lights. Depth of water at quays 24 feet. Vessels pay harbour dues in proportion to the cargo discharged, but not more than 25 Øre inward and 25 Øre outward per net register ton. Vessels calling at the port for bunkers, provisions or repairs only, pay no harbour dues.
