Meet The Toreros

15 Jeff Langdon returns for his junior year where he will compete for playing time at middle linebacker ... last season he placed 13th on the team with 24 tackles ( 12 solo) ... also added 3 tackles for loss and I interception (Valparaiso) ... he totaled a personal-best 5 tackles against Western Oregon ... also chipped in with 4 stops against Dayton and 3 tackles twice (La Verne & Southern Oregon) ... in 2001 totaled 4 tackles (2 so lo) in four contests ... prepped at Aquinas HS where he earned All-CJF and CJF Defensive MVP honors his senior year with I IO tackles ... team went 12-1 - 1 and were crowned CIF Champions ... totaled 76 tackles junior year ... also lettered in baseball and basketball ... was a two-time All-CIF and All-League performer in baseball and added All -County and All-League honors in basketball ... also recruited by UTEP and UC Davis ... chose USO for location, weather and educational opportunities. Iman Nikzad return s for hi s fourth season with the Toreros ... he will compete for playing time at the tailback position ... thi s past season he carried the ball in five different contests

turning in a season-best 120 yard performance against Valparaiso ... in that game he busted loose for a 68-yard TD sprint and fini shed with hi s 120 yards on just 9 carries .. . was se lected to PFL Academic Honor Roll ... he prepped at Aliso Niguel High School where he rushed for I,200yards and was named the team MVP ... junioryearwas named Most Improved after ru shing for 650 yards .. . also lettered in track where he was named the team's MVP ... also recruited by Saint Mary' s Co ll ege ... chose USO for weather, football and quality education. Josh Pierce return s for hi sjunior year where he wi ll compete for playing time with the defensive line unit at defen sive end ... last season he placed 18th on the team with 14 tackles (4 solo) and I quarterback sack for -8 yards against Drake ... tallied 3 tackles in season-opener against Azusa Pacific and also chipped in with 2 tackl es in three other games (La Verne, Yale and Dayton) ... attended Venice High School where he was team captain hi s senior year and total ed 54 tackles ... in his junior campaign he garnered All-Coastal Conference honors and again had 54 tackles ... also lettered in track and basketball ... placed 6th in the 4x400 relay at city championships ... also recruited by Harvard and Columbia ... chose USO for the weather and football program ... is fluent in Japanese. Josh Pierce #18 JR DE

Nick Garton return s for hi s sophomore year where he will see considerable playing time at wide receiver ... last year as a freshman he hauled in 15 receptions (4th on team) for 161 yards ( I0.7 yard average per catch) ... he had a long reception of 23 yards against Azusa Pacific in game where he had 3 catches for 42 yards .. . 3 catches for 38 yards against Southern Oregon ... named to the PFL All-Academic Honor Roll ... he prepped at Dana Hills High School where in hi s senior year he earned All-League, All-County and AII-CIF recognition at receiver with 51 receptions for 970 yards and 11 touchdowns ... junior year hauled in 30 catches for 321 yards and I score ... also lettered in soccer and track ... earned First Team All -South Coast League honors in soccer ... also recruited by Holy Cross, Dartmouth, Cornell and Penn ... chose USO for locations and strong academics. Adam Hannula returns for his sophomore year where he will be one of the PFL's top

receivers ... last year he finished second on the team with 44 catches for 64 1 yards, 7 touchdowns and a long catch of 61 yards against Jacksonville .. . he averaged 14.6 yards per catch ... he hauled in a school-record 11 reception s against Drake for 195 yards and 3 touchdowns ... he added a 60-yard reception in game two against La Verne ... added 5 ru shes for 52 yards with a long sprint of 20 yards against Jacksonville ... recruited to USO as a quarterback and sat out the 200 I campaign ... threw for 1,750 yards and 17 TDs his senior year at Bellarmine Prep (Washington) while earning MVP honors in the Narrows Conference ... junior year passed for 1,250 yards and 12 TDs ... enjoys pl ay ing piano and ping pong ... also recruited by Central and Eastern Washington, and Holy Cross ... chose USO for the quality

Adam Hannula #14 SO WR

Josh Sanders returns for hi s sophomore year where he is projected to start at offensive guard for the Toreros ... last year as a freshman he started at left guard with the Torero offensive unit ... came to USO from Miami, Florida where he prepped at G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School .. . senior year totaled 80 tackles while earning 2nd Team All Miami-Dade County honors ... played in the Miami-Dade All-Star game hi s senior year ... during hi s junior campaign he finished with 60 tackles while garnering honorable mention recognition ... also lettered in wrestling ... enjoys playing Madden football games and is a fan of the Miami Dolphins ... also recruited by South Florida, Baylor, St. Peter's and Jacksonville ... chose USO to get a quality education, its great location, and to play football.
