• In collaboration with MHPD, County of Santa Clara, our Faith Based Community, Gilroy Compassion Center, and Morgan Hill Bible Church, implemented the safe parking “Focus” pilot program. The program has helped at least 18 families reach various positive outcomes. • In collaboration with Santa Clara County office of Supportive Housing, assisted in funding two South County outreach worker positions to help monitor, counsel, and house our homeless population. • In collaboration with Santa Clara County, assisted in funding a rapid rehousing program to help put an end to homelessness. The focus of this program is to provide currently housed individuals and families with the means (either by financial aid or counseling services, etc.) to remain in their current housing situation. • In collaboration with Rebuilding Together, assisted in funding and monitoring a rehabilitation and Blight Busters program for low- income Seniors in Morgan Hill. To date, the program has helped 31 households with many necessary repairs. • Working with Keyser Martson Associates, updated the Housing In- Lieu fee. • Worked with City Council to facilitate a partnership with Cal-SOAP to create a $25,000 City Scholarship fund in 2018 for a Morgan Hill High School Senior. • Created the South Santa Clara County Agricultural Farm Worker Housing Focus Group to begin conversations and negotiations for much needed migrant farmworker housing. • Successfully recruited for and hired a Housing Program Coordinator. • Contracted with HouseKeys to oversee the management of our BMR Program. During FY 16-17 and 17-18, twenty-four (24) new BMR homes were built and eligible buyers were educated, qualified and all units were sold, 9 refinance transactions were resolved, 509 compliance letters were sent out to current BMR homeowners, 6 court cases were resolved, 34 BMR lotteries were conducted, 9 BMR homeowner orientations were presented, and 27 BMR home buyer orientations were presented. • Prepared 504 value calculations in FY 16-17 and FY 17-18 for the County Assessor’s office based upon income level and Covenants Conditions Restrictions formula.
