“Color is everything for me this season,” says Laura Angotti, designer behind Rowdy Sprout. She says she was inspired to update her color palette this season by the sunsets, blue oceans, mountains in her homebase of Malibu, CA. This year she signed some new bands to the roster—a feat, as it can take years to seal the licensing deals. For fall it’s all about Metallica, the Doors, Parliament, John Lennon and George Michael to name a few. Says Angotti, “through listening to the favorite albums of our past, draping ourselves in the soft fabrics that instantly make us feel like a warm hug, or the colors that spark pleasure in us—we surround ourselves and our senses in bliss, memories, comfort and love.”

Mini Rodini’s AW18 collection is a love letter to New York City. At once romantic and nostalgic, designer Cassandra Rhodin says she was inspired by the NY she saw in movies as a young girl (think, Annie Hall, and Love Story to name a few). “New York was the ultimate place where everything seemed to happen. The streets were filled with people that looked so effortlessly cool being themselves,” she says. The collection is filled with Lady liberties, city canines and cheerleading kittens.
