WHAT ARE STIMULANTS?

Most ADHD medications are stimulants. This means that they’re the kind of drug that speeds up your body’s actions. They make your brain work faster. If you’re taking a stimulant, you’ll feel more alert and wide awake. You may feel as though you have more energy. You’ll probably be in an “up” mood too. You could feel happy . . . or you could feel REALLY, REALLY happy.
