1. What support does your Union currently access from the GFTU and/or other affiliated unions? And how could we develop that support further in line with the motion shown above? 2. How do you currently communicate with your Union members? Are there opportunities for the GFTU to ‘piggyback’ those communication channels? 3. What Member benefits do you currently offer to your Union’s members to support them and add value to their membership? And are there any resources, products or services that you think that other Union’s might be interested in finding out about? 5. There are two sides to being more sustainable, firstly it can be achieved by managing costs and being more efficient and secondly, it can be achieved by generating more income – the motion asks us to do both, so; a. How can the GFTU help you to be more efficient? b. Do you have any examples of or ideas for revenue generation that can be developed / shared further? 6. If we provide commercially robust, ethically sound revenue generating opportunities, the providers of these member benefits / products / services will need to market the opportunities to members, so; a. How can they access your membership information? b. What things do we need to put in place to be compliant with the new GDPR regulations? 7. How do you use Quorn Grange Hotel at the moment, as we are currently doing the site development work, how can we generate more business for the Hotel in the future? 8. What would you like to see in an action plan for this area of work that benefits you, your members, other GFTU Affiliates and the wider Trade Union movement? The meeting agenda covered; a.
