Getting Involved Mentors are important factors in the success of RAMP. RAMP relies on two types of mentors: lead mentors and ad-hoc mentors who provide expertise as needed. Lead mentors agree to be the lead for a specific company and commit to spending time with their company weekly. Ad-hoc mentors spend time as needed. Both of these mentors provide a valuable service and are critical to the growth of our entrepreneurial community. If you have time, understand the value of mentoring, want to improve our entrepreneurial community, strengthen the region, network with interesting, smart people, then this might be

something you would like to consider. I hope you will contact me to learn more.

RAMP is housed in the historic Gill Memorial Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, built in 1926. The hospital is believed to be the first specialty hospital in the Commonwealth. After state-funded renovations of Gill Memorial, the building reopened in 2017 as home to RAMP, a hub of entrepreneurial activity in downtown Roanoke.
