With natural antioxidants (tocopherols and vitamin C). Contains no added artificial colours or flavourings. FEEDING GUIDE IN GRAMS PER DAY The daily individual requirement may vary depending on factors such as breed, environment, season, activity etc. During races, sledge dogs may require up to three to four times as much energy compared to the energy requirement of the normal dog. It is therefore advisable to continue monitoring condition and body weight, adjusting the amount fed accordingly. Because of the high content of fat in SPECIFIC TM CAD Active, it is recommended that the diet is changed from the dog’s usual diet to SPECIFIC TM CAD Active during a period of 5-7 days.

£ The increased level of fat in SPECIFIC TM CAD Active leads to increased plasma concentrations of free fatty acids, which serve as an energy source for dogs with an increased activity level. £ Taurine and L-Carnitine are added to support the heart muscle function. L-carnitine is also important to transport fatty acids into the mitochondria to support oxidation of fat and preservation of muscles.

£ Vitamin C has been added to the diet to support maintenance of plasma vitamin C levels during periods of training.

£ Because of the increased energy density in SPECIFIC TM CAD Active, only relatively small quantities of food are required in order to supply sufficient energy and nutrients. This is an advantage in circumstances of recovery or anorexia.

£ The concentrated, highly digestible diet ensures an optimal uptake of nutrients from the diet, which results in less faeces.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR

£ Dogs with limited activity (and therefore limited energy requirement) £ Dogs with hyperlipidaemia or pancreatitis
