SPECIFIC TM CIW-LF DIGESTIVE SUPPORT LOW FAT

PROPERTIES AND RATIONALE FOR THE COMPOSITION

Low level of fat to give the pancreas a rest and chance to recover and for support of conditions that benefit from low fat intake.

Highly digestible ingredients compensate for decreased intestinal enzymatic activity and ensure an optimal uptake of nutrients. This makes the diet optimal for patients with gastrointestinal conditions such as acute and chronic diarrhoea, vomiting and/or flatulence. The use of hydrolysed salmon protein and potato starch, ingredients with low allergenicity, makes the diet suited for gastrointestinal disorders with potential involvement of adverse food reactions and for feeding during periods of reduced intestinal gut barrier. High level of omega-3 fatty acids provide precursors for production of mediators for support of the natural anti inflammatory process and support of the immune status. Contains ß-1,3/1,6-glucans from yeast , which can bind to receptors of white blood cells, thereby alerting the immune system and supporting the immune response. Fermentable fibres (FOS) promote the growth of beneficial colonic bacteria for support of a healthy gastrointestinal tract. The diet also contains mannan-oligo-saccharides (MOS) . MOS can bind pathogenic bacteria, thereby preventing them from binding to the intestinal wall. MOS also supports the local immunity in the intestinal tract.

With AuraGuard (natural plant-based mixture) and nucleotides to support a healthy gut microbiome, immune response and barrier function of the gut.
