While we offer no rigid form or template for the drafting of your Partnership Agreement, it should be understood that we believe that such agreements must be formed through generous mutual discussion and prayer, which results in a clear written document that serves as the basis for the relationship between World Impact and our church planting partner. The following issues must be discussed and where appropriate, the decisions made, and be incorporated into the language of the Partnership Agreement.

I. The Goal of the Partnership A. What do we plan to achieve together?

B. What is our target community? C. By when will this goal be met?

II. Common Values (Please discuss and consider attaching a similar statement of common values - please see sample Addendum A.)

III. The Emerging Church’s Affiliation A. Has the long term oversight of the planted church been determined and with whom will it be? B. With whom will this church affiliate and who will make this decision? C. What doctrinal statement is the Church Plant Team to use during the church planting process? D. Are there any clear doctrinal or functional distinctives that particularly need to be upheld due to the emerging church’s future affiliation?

IV. Partnership issues A. Staff

1. How will team members be assigned from the partnering ministry? 2. How will World Impact assess/accept them? 3. How will additional team members be added to this Church Planting Team during the church planting process?
