Twenty Five Years of Urban Church Planting Among the Poor: A Report 11 c) Iglesia Del Maestro: A Church with International Impact

Pastors Juan Pablo and Sol Herrera have planted two churches in the Dallas area. Their first church began working with a church plant in Guadalajara, Mexico. That church began training church planters using TUMI. The church has now planted three churches through TUMI students who have been trained as church planters.

Summary: The West Coast Region has planted or partnered in 107 church plant efforts since 1990. Fifty eight of these church plants and churches are currently active. There are two possible movements in the region (Powerhouse [3 church plants] and Christ is Lord [16 churches/ church plants]). World Impact currently has 15 staff assigned to full time church plant activities in the region. Church Plant Resources for the region are: a) 6 MTLs b) 12 Team Leaders (3 full time) c) 21 PTM (8 full time) d) 17 STM (0 full time)

3. Church Planting Staff The West Coast Region has six Church Plant Coaches (formally called “Multiple Team Leaders”), 12 church plant Team Leaders (TL) and 21 staff serving as Primary Team Members (PTMs) on church plant teams. Thirteen West Coast staff have church planting as their Primary Ministry Assignment (PMA).
