Rev. Dr. Todd Grant and his wife Jennifer Grant joined staff with World Impact in 2006 after having pastored and planted several churches. After attending church plant school in 2006 they were commissioned to lead a Church Plant Team in Watts, CA. Today Powerhouse Church operates a free Christian medical clinic, a free dental clinic, free medical and counseling services for those facing unexpected pregnancies, a men’s home, a food distribution ministry, and a variety of youth programs. The church plant’s transformational impact on the Watts community is currently the subject of doctoral research and has been reported on in a number of media outlets.
