- ■ If any one be convicted of having maliciously , -willfully or carelessly injured the Company’s works, pipes, lamps or other appurtenances, to have extinguished the lamps or to have willfully or carelessly wasted the Compa­ ny’s Gas, or to have interrupted the Company’s Servants or people in the fa­ brication, or in the exercise of their employment, then such offender shall therefore pay a fine equal at least te the amount of the damage, or suffer a still heavier punishment according to the Police-Court’s decision, and besides be liable to indemnify the Company as well for the damage as for the pe­ nalties, the same might have incurred by the interruption of the lighting, according to the different determinations of this Contract. , . j . §. 26. The Company is bonnd to pay for the Seacoals, which they import for carrying on their Work , such duty and such taxes as are now imposed or may be henceforth imposed; whereas, pursuant to His Majesty the King’s resolution of the 8th of June this year, in case this duty or these taxes should at any time be raised above their present amount, the Company is to be indemnified by the Royal treasury for whatever the duty or taxes might then exceed the present imposts for as great a quantity of seacoals, as the Company may prove to want for their Gasfabrication. - §♦ 27 • >: . > The Company shall be alloved to import, free of duty aud other im­ post, the iron-pipes, iron-work, engines and machinery, necessary for erec­ ting and carrying on the works, in as far as such articles are not to be had here of a description satisfactory to the Company. §. 28. The Company shall be allowed without restriction by any Company, corporation or others, to sell in Copenhagen or elsewhere the various pro­ ductions of their Gas - manufactory. §♦ 29* The individuals here employed by the Company shall be exempted from all personal civil duties, but they shall be subject to all the taxes im­ posed on their fellow - citizens or inhabitants, but the Company as a body shall not be subject to any taxes and imposts, excepting general duties or taxes attached to the ground which they may buy, and professional - imposts (3£ccvut3$=0 fa t ) which like others, Carrying on any trade, the Company is (?) - §. 25.
