Fire Chief Monthly Report – October 2019

g.October 30, 2019 [9am-11am]: Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) - Ganado Maintenance Operations had its Annual Snow Meeting for the local Public Service Agencies and community members. The meeting was on ADOT Maintenance Winter Snow Operations Awareness. The following personnel attended the training: Lt. Evander Leonard, Lt. Jeremy Begay, FFII Johnavan Wagoner, and Communication Supervisor Shirlene Attson.

D. MAINTENANCE

1. Ganado Fire Station - Lt. Peshlakai is the custodian for Station 1 a.Utility 10 was pulled out of service relaying to problems with the Automatic Transmission. b.Tanker 10 was pulled out of service for PTO (Power Take- Off) gear issues not engaging. 2. Steamboat Fire Station - Lt. Jeremy Begay is the custodian for Station 2 a.Attack 20 was pulled out of services regarding loss of power. 3. Klagetoh Fire Station - Lt. Leonard is the custodian for Station 3 a.All apparatus are Operational. E. TRAINING for FIRE, EMS, and DISPATCH 1. In-house Fire/EMS Training: a.No In-House Training for the month of October 2019. F. ANNOUNCEMENTS ( Community Training/Presentation and Notification): 1.December 2, 2019 [9am-4pm]: The Fire District monthly scheduled training for “ASHI Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED and Basic First Aid Training” will be held at the Ganado Fire Station Training Room. Any questions regarding this training call (928)755-3424. All monthly schedule training for ASHI CPR/AED and Basic First Aid Training are scheduled on the first Monday of each month. 2.December 9, 2019 [9am-1pm]: The Fire District monthly scheduled training for “Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training” will be held at the Ganado Fire Station Training Room. All monthly Fire Safety Training are scheduled on the second Monday of each month. 3.December 12, 2019: Assist Hubbell National Park Services with their Annual Luminaria and Santa Event starting at 4 p.m.
